A Surprise Addition to the Overseas Line
Following a series of 2025 releases focused on the Patrimony and Traditionnelle lines, Vacheron Constantin has unveiled a new horological titan: the Overseas Grand Complication Openface. This model is the first in the series to integrate a minute repeater—and it does so alongside a tourbillon and a perpetual calendar.
Design and Dimensions
Encased in Grade 5 titanium, the timepiece boasts a robust 44.5mm diameter and 13.1mm thickness. It’s finished with a combination of brushed, polished, and sandblasted surfaces, enhancing the visual contrast. The bezel features the Maltese Cross motif, and its texture distinguishes it from rose gold variants which use brushed finishes instead.
A Dial that Dazzles
The transparent sapphire dial reveals a world of mechanical sophistication. Metallic blue subdials and an 18k white-gold minute track contrast sharply with the skeletonized movement beneath. Rhodium-plated components add further complexity, with white Super-LumiNova ensuring visibility.
Engineering Prowess Inside
Powering the watch is the manually-wound Caliber 2755 QP, a 602-component movement operating at 2.5 Hz with a 58-hour power reserve. Its minute repeater is regulated by a patented centripetal governor, visible through the back and mounted beneath a curved, hand-polished bridge engraved with founder Jean-Marc Vacheron’s initials.
Versatility and Packaging
Accompanying the titanium bracelet are two additional strap options: blue rubber and blue alligator leather. Thanks to the quick-change system, wearers can easily switch between them using the included titanium folding clasp.
