Capturing Time, the Leica Way
In photography, timing is everything. Leica, known for capturing that “decisive moment,” has translated this philosophy into horology. The new Leica ZM 12 is a refined addition to its growing watch portfolio — compact, elegant, and rooted in engineering precision.

A Heritage in Mechanics
Though Leica’s watch debut came in 2022, its mechanical legacy stretches back to 1870. Founder Ernst Leitz I brought his experience in Swiss watchmaking into the brand’s DNA. That same mechanical ingenuity now powers the ZM 12, combining micro-mechanics with clean, functional aesthetics.

The ZM 12: Smaller, Sleeker, Smarter
With a 39mm diameter and 13mm thickness, the ZM 12 marks Leica’s most wearable design yet. Designed for comfort without compromising presence, this watch is ideal for daily use and discreet elegance. The case is crafted in either steel or titanium, paired with dials finished using a multi-week production process that enhances visual depth.

Mechanical Movement with Meaning
At its core is the LA-3002 caliber, an evolution of the earlier ZM 11 movement, featuring a small seconds subdial. The movement is regulated in five positions for high precision and is assembled and tested over eight months. Viewed through its sapphire back, the movement showcases Leica’s signature commitment to functional design.
Custom Straps, Leica Style
Strap swaps are effortless thanks to a Leica-inspired quick-release system. Options range from bold orange rubber to refined textile and metal bracelets. Each strap reflects Leica’s attention to tactile detail.
Built in limited numbers, the ZM 12 isn’t about mass production — it’s about meticulous refinement. With prices from $6,690 to $8,935, it’s a serious piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
