At Watches & Wonders 2025, Bulgari once again made headlines by unveiling the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon — the world’s thinnest tourbillon watch at just 1.85mm thick. That’s not just the movement — it’s the entire watch: case, bezel, dial, sapphire crystal, and all. Thinner than a nickel, yet every bit a functioning mechanical marvel.

Since the debut of the Octo Finissimo line in 2014, Bulgari has claimed 10 world records in ultra-thin watchmaking. This latest milestone brings the brand full circle — they started their ultra-thin journey with a tourbillon, and now they’ve perfected it.

Despite its impossibly slim profile, the watch doesn’t feel fragile. Crafted from microbead-blasted titanium, the 40mm case and bracelet offer a solid, architectural presence. Inside beats the ultra-thin BVF 900 movement with a 42-hour power reserve and a clearly visible tourbillon at its heart. A skeletonized design showcases every detail, from rhodium-plated bridges to the sunburst finish on the balance.

A standout feature? The return to a traditional two-hand time display for better legibility, a departure from earlier Ultra models. And if you’re wondering — yes, it ticks audibly, adding a pulse to its futuristic design.
Limited to just 20 pieces and priced at $678,000 USD, this is more than a timepiece — it’s a bold statement of engineering and innovation. As CEO Jean-Christophe Babin puts it: “Each record has been a stepping stone… redefining what’s possible in mechanical watchmaking.”
